Large Family Living--The Spankula

Note To Viewers:  No animals (or people) were harmed in the making of this post.

Weekends mean mornings that are less chaotic.  And less chaotic mornings mean more cooking.

Pancakes are never made on school days, so they are a treat on the weekends!  And of course, pancakes mean homemade blueberry sauce and whip cream to complete a weekend family favorite!

[No image available--pancakes eaten too quickly]

Patrick is currently our #1 pancake baker boy.

But making pancakes in a large family means making more, faster.

Enter one of my most prized possessions--the giant sized grill.

ADD the giant sized spatula.

This monster is amazing!  And HUGE!  It can even turn a Mickey Mouse pancake in a single flip!

It is so endeared in our family that it has been given a pet name--THE SPANKULA!

Of course, I can joke about this on a public blog because we are a family that doesn't spank.

If you are a family that does, I wouldn't recommend getting a giant sized spatula and naming it The Spankula.  That could get you into trouble.

Some serious large family livin' in our house!

Can't wait to grow it by one!  We leave in NINE days!!!

I enjoy reading about your amazing family! So excited for your upcoming trip. We are a family of 7 so we could use one of the Spankula's. Any ideas on where you got it? Thanks! God Bless

In the Pacific Northwest there is a store called Fred Meyer, which is where I purchased it. The store is like a large grocery store/target combined. It was about 7 bucks but it totally worth it!
