Wax Museum

Patrick's school had the coolest evening--a wax museum!
The kids picked a historical character, then made a costume and memorized a speech about the character's life.

The wax museum was set up in the school library and when we walked in, all the "wax statues" were holding perfectly still.  They had "buttons" on the floor for the viewers to push, at which time the character would swing into motion and give their speech.

Patrick was his namesake, Lou Gehrig.

There were also many other sports figures, presidents, astronants, movie stars, scientists, musicians, pioneers, and even Walt Disney!

Very clever, cool, fun, entertaining, and educational!

What a wonderful idea. Wish we had been there to see it.

This is such a great idea. I'm definitely filing this away in my brain. (Hope I can find it again.)
