Simplicity Parenting

Currently reading: Simplicity Parenting: Using the Extaordinary Power of Less to Raise Calmer, Happier, and More Secure Kids, by Kim John Payne

Payne’s book is not written for adoptive parents, but the author’s ideas are especially important for giving adopted children the calm, predictable family environment they will thrive in. Payne stresses the importance of simplicity and rhythm—less is often more. He speaks from a Waldorf perspective, but his ideas can be universally adapted by any family. I highly recommend it.

I read another bloggers post on this book just yesterday. Huh, go figure.
I appreciate someone speaking on things we are trying to do, you know, the pat on the back. Because it all looks so strange on the outsite. I just keep picking one foot up and putting it in front of the other.

I haven't heard of this book before. I now need to go see if my library has it.
