'Twas The Week Before Christmas

My November resolution was to organize for Christmas.

I am happy to report that miracles are possible.

The tree has been decorated and topped,

the presents have been purchased (and some are even wrapped),

and the baking is in full-blown-oven-blow-out-mode.

I don't want to alarm anyone, but I will even be mailing my Christmas cards BEFORE Christmas this year.

Yep.  Don't faint.

Cards are generally mailed in January.  Or March.  Or never.  I am always still shopping on Christmas Eve, the tree is put up days before, and I have been know to still be wrapping---just minutes before the unwrapping begins.

It must be all that nesting instinct kicking in.

Or maybe it's having a new child who is incredibly excited for all the Christmas happenings.

Whatever it is, I'm happy.

Now if I can just slow down and enjoy the season---

And since I'm now going to try to do that, I will leave you with two favorite Christmas posts.

It just wouldn't be Christmas without the retelling.

I swear this story is true--remember, which is why we laugh about it every year.

And Stalking Santa just makes me smile.

Oh, I wish I were that organized this year. I had such good intentions. Honeybee made a paper chain showing the days remaining until Christmas and I was stunned to see how short it was! I still have next week...
