Adoption Day

Mei Mei is feeling more at ease.  She slept all night--tho I kept waking up to check on her.

She loves the I-touch, computer, and hanging out with her Jie Jie (older sister).

She is a non-stop eater-and she needs it!  Teeny tiny!

Chicken feet were the treat of the day!  (Yes, they really are feet from chicken, and Chinese children love them!)

She is also loving her Baba!

She did cry when we went to the Civil Affairs Office to officially adopt her.  Poor, sweet thing!  Since then she has done well, and we are all looking forward to a big Chinese dinner tonight.  She LOVED her first time at the pool today.  Coldish water, but she didn't mind!  Lan Lan has been a great comfort to her too.

Tomorrow is the Great Wall.  Mei Mei told our guide she could see the Great Wall from her foster parents' farm, but she hasn't ever actually been to it.  We are all looking forward to the adventure!

I have your blog pulled up on my phone and check it daily for updates! I'm so glad she is settling in....such a hard challenge for her to grapple in, but I'm confident it has already and will continue to bring her greatness Hugs! (Krista)

We love hearing from you. The picures are great. Hope your days keep improving and we think of you all the time. We pray for you and for your safety. Yesterday we took Kim and the 2 younger boys to lunch at Panda Express and then we went to the movies. It was fun to be with them.
